DOMINANT PENTATONIC add b3

First post in a while, but work and such has been keeping me busy.

Another bluesy variation here.

DOMINANT PENTATONIC add b3.

(1,2,b3,3,5,b7.)

A lovely blurring of Major and minor that I think sounds great in most blues settings.

You can find the non-add b3 version HERE

Enjoy!

MODES: All positions, a whole neck side by side comparison.

MODES: All positions, a whole neck side by side comparison.

Hopefully what I've mapped out below will help dispel the idea that the sound of any mode is bound to a particular shape.

It will also I think illustrate how you can use the seven 3NPS patterns to play any mode anywhere on the neck in any key.

I've mapped out all the modes in 2 keys, C Major and G Major side by side so you can see how the 7 positions allow you to play any mode anywhere on the neck.

If you are completely new to modes, then I would start by clicking HERE instead for a huge lesson on what modes are.
