Three note per string Pentatonic boxes



These are some great shapes for getting the most out of your three note per string picking licks and your pentatonic scales.

You can transfer any three note per string lick to these shapes. You do get the repetition of notes (the highest note on one string will be the same as the lowest note on the next hight string... just play one it will make sense) this can give a cool effect or you can adjust your lick slightly to avoid the repetition.

As it states on the diagrams, there's no reason that they are shown in G minor other than it makes it relatively easy to play a whole octave of positions.

Anyhow, they should keep you noodling for hours!
