THE BEBOP DORIAN SCALE is an eight note (or eight tone if you are American) scale that contains the intervals: 1,2,b3,4,5,6,b7,7.
The free guitar scale diagrams below lay out the scale for you all over the neck, as a four note per string three octave scale and as the eight three note per string patterns that will link together to let you play it all over the fretboard in any key.
NB- When I
learned BEBOP DORIAN it was taught to me
as a scale containing the intervals: (1,2b3,4,5,6,b7,7) ie. The Dorian mode
with an additional 7 and is produced here as such.
Many sources
however spell BEBOP DORIAN as (1,2,b3,3,4,5,6,b7) ie. The Dorian Mode with an additional
3.
(MIXOLYDIAN
ADD b3/DORIAN ADD 3 is the fifth Mode of BEBOP DOMINANT.)
